Welcome to WRS Athletic club.  We are a locally owned and operated health club serving the Waco area for 20 years.  WRS was started by Wayman R. Spence in 1995 as an executive adult health club promoting first class health and fitness.  Over the past 20 years we have maintained that philosophy as the health industry expands.  We strive to provide a clean and friendly atmosphere where our members can be comfortable in their pursuit of health.

YOGA INSTRUCTORS

 

LAURIE BELL - 200 hours certified

SARA MOREHEAD - Sara, RYT 200 completed yoga training with Camp Utopia and is registered with Yoga Alliance. Sara holds group exercise certification with AAFA and has specialty training for barre, hot yoga, indoor cycle, & Pilates. Sara has been teaching since 1995 and has been leading fitness classes since 2013. She enjoys motivating and challenging students of any age.

ELIZABETH OATES - Elizabeth has been teaching Yoga since 2007.  She teaches Vinyasa, Power and Hot Yoga. Elizabeth has an athletic based fitness approach while teaching her classes.

MARY CHASE - Mary has been teaching yoga at WRS since 2000.  Since 2001 Mary has studied Kriya Yoga at the Temple of Kriya Yoga in Chicago.  She received the Swami and Guru designation from her Guru Goswami Kriyananda.

AMANDA MCKELVAIN - Amanda has been a athlete for most of her life enjoying a variety of exercise arenas. She currently teaches Yoga and subs DanceFit and HIIT classes. Amanda is RYT 200 certified through Yoga Alliance.

ALEX SANCHEZ - Alex has been in training for the past 30 years.  He certifications include Yoga and personal training.  Alex has two third degree black belts in Hop-Kido and Ju-Jitsu.
